Plant Sterols: A Natural Way to Help Lower Cholesterol
One way that people may lower their cholesterol levels naturally is by consuming foods that are rich in natural plant sterols that are scientifically proven to reduce cholesterol, and are accepted by national experts, including the latest National Cholesterol Education Program. A recent review of the literature showed that 2 grams per day of plant sterols can lower LDL cholesterol levels by an average of 10 percent.

July 26, 2007: Promise activ™ SuperShots™ Launch Party
Kristin Chenoweth, renowned Broadway, television and film actress,
hosted an event to celebrate the launch of Promise activ™ SuperShots™,
the first mini-drink with added natural plant sterols, at the Lotus
Space in New York on July 17th. The event raised awareness for the
issue of heart health and was a fundraiser for WomenHeart, an
organization which provides support, education and advocacy for women
living with heart disease.

Promise® has increased the level of Omega-3 alpha-linolenic acid (ALA) in its Promise® Buttery and Light spreads, making them both excellent sources for this essential heart-healthy dietary fat. Omega-3 ALA is an essential fat because it cannot be produced by the human body and must be obtained from the food we eat. Promise® Buttery Spread has increased the Omega-3 ALA content from 400mg to 550 mg; Promise® Light has increased the Omega-3 ALA content from 250 mg to 300 mg.
